Waymo's driverless robotaxis began serving Harry Reid International Airport on Oct. 21, Waymo and the airport announced.

For now, airport rides are open only to people who already ride with Waymo in Las Vegas. Waymo said it will gradually welcome more riders over time before opening the service to everyone, but it did not give a date. Most visitors arriving this week should still plan on a taxi, a rideshare or a shuttle.

Pickups and drop-offs use dedicated autonomous vehicle zones on the Ground Zero Level at Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. Riders can travel between the airport and any destination inside Waymo's 24-square-mile Las Vegas service area, which the company plans to expand.

"Welcoming Waymo is another step toward giving our passengers more choices in how they get to and from the airport," said James C. Chrisley, Clark County's director of aviation.

The airport is also warning drivers about lane closures in both directions of the airport connector tunnels through December 2026 for repaving, so allow extra time whichever way you travel.
