The Neon Museum will light the official sign from the first Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix on Monday, Oct. 26, from 6 to 7 p.m. The ceremony is the grand finale of Duck Duck Shed, the museum’s annual celebration of Las Vegas history, architecture and design, which runs Oct. 23 to 26.
The sign was first seen during the inaugural race in 2023 and is the newest addition to the museum’s collection. The museum says guests will get a complimentary toast sponsored by Heineken and an up-close look at a Formula 1 show car, then count down as a special guest flips the switch to light the sign in the Neon Boneyard.
Tickets are $35 per person through the Neon Museum and the Duck Duck Shed website. The museum is at 770 Las Vegas Blvd. N., and free parking is available at the museum and at the neighboring Cashman Center.
The sign joins the collection after the race’s recent extension, which keeps Formula 1 in Las Vegas through 2037. This year’s Grand Prix runs Nov. 19 to 21, and race-week road work has already started; see our story “F1 prep narrows Koval Lane and closes Route 119 bus stops this week” in VegasNearMe News.
