Statue of Caesar at the Strip Entrance

This is the Caesar you can reach without going inside. It stands on the Las Vegas Boulevard side of Caesars Palace, on the stretch of frontage nearest the OMNIA corner, roughly a hundred metres from the nightclub entrance and about the same from the Immortal Joe Louis statue by the race and sportsbook.

Of the resort's four Caesar statues it is the easiest to photograph, because you do not have to be inside the building or past a pool gate to stand in front of it — the frontage is walkable from the public sidewalk at any hour. It is also the one fully exposed to weather. The surrounding pavement is punishing from midday through late afternoon in summer, and early morning or after dark is the better visit; the frontage stays lit all night.

Like the rest of the classical statuary at Caesars Palace, it is a modern reproduction, not an antiquity. The resort has dressed itself in Roman copies since it opened in 1966.
